Manor Home in Moscow Countryside, Russia

Set within a wooded estate near Moscow, this listed historic manor was acquired as a ruin and comprehensively restored. Its classical exterior was preserved and rebuilt in accordance with the original architecture, while the interior was reimagined as a contemporary home for modern living.

Stef Albert conceived the interior architecture, bespoke furnishings, lighting, decorative arts and art placement as a complete environment. The finished residence balances rigorous heritage restoration with calm modern rooms, strong material contrasts and a close relationship to the surrounding landscape.
